!SPOILERS FROM SEASON 4 PART 2!
Ymir Fritz is the first person to obtain Titan’s powers. The king used Ymir’s power to benefit Eldia while they attacked the rest of the world. Ymir was giving the King’s name and was his concubine as a reward. After thirteen years of obtaining her titan power, Ymir died by stopping an attempt of assassination against the King. Ymir’s corpse was forcibly eaten by her three daughters Rose, Maria, and Sheena. Eventually, her powers were split into the Nine Titans. When she died she was transported to the “Coordinate” where Ymir created titans out of the sand, and she also headed to the royal family whenever they used the founding titan’s powers.
Some background, Ymir became a slave when her village was attacked and obviously enslaved by the Eldians, where her parents were killed and the tongues of the survivors were cut off. Later on, Ymir opened a gate that let some pigs escape, the king later gathered all of the slaves asking who let the pigs go. Everyone pointed at Ymir, the king let her go but only for her to get shot at for “fun”. Badly injured she looked for cover and found a huge tree with a hole in it. Ymir quickly went inside not knowing that there was a deep hole in the tree-filled with liquid. While she was sinking in the liquid Ymir encountered a weird spin-looking creature that fused with Ymir giving her the powers of the Founding Titan.
With her new powers, Ymir went back to King Fritz to serve him. With her power she nurtured the land and built amazing monuments. Ymir was also used as the Eldian King’s army, she destroyed so many of Marley’s army ( Marley is Eldia’s main rival). After the King gave Ymir his name and she gave birth to their three children Rose, Maria, and Sheena. Ymir later ended up actually caring and loving the King even though he was rude to her and didn’t show any affection to her. An example of how rude and uncaring the King is towards Ymir is when Ymir was stopping an assassination attempt on the king. She was pierced with a spear in her chest because she jumped in front of the king. All the king said was “get up already, just heal yourself.” Ymir’s three daughters were forced to eat Ymir’s body, and the king had his daughters reproduce and have their kids eat their spines. They did this ritual so that Ymir’s blood never died and so Eldia would always have possession over the titans. If you were wondering what Ymir’s titan form looks like, it is obviously very tall around 13 meters tall. It takes the characteristics of a female, the titan’s ribs are sticking out of her body. Her face doesn’t have any skin on it, and you can only see the skull of the titan. Do not get confused with Ymir Nanaba who used to be the jaw titan before she was eaten by Porco. Because Ymir Nanaba was a homeless Eldian girl, begging for food or money on the streets of Marley. Then she was found by a man who gave her the name Ymir after the first titan user. He later brought her to a cult where they worshipped Ymir. That is the difference between Ymir Fritz and Ymir Nanaba.
